Simon Lovestone

OPDC Investigator

Simon’s research interests are in understanding the fundamental causes of dementia, including understanding the role of GSK-3 regulation in AD and using this to seek alternative therapeutic interventions, the search for genetic and other biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease, and identifying novel therapeutic targets for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and other dementias.

He leads a research group seeking biomarkers for dementia and, specifically, concentrating on biomarkers which can be used in clinical trials. His group use proteomics and neuroimaging extensively together with transcriptomic and other genomic approaches.
