Tom is a Neurology Registrar and a Clinical Research Fellow working at the OPDC under the supervision of Michele Hu and Clare Mackay. His research into REM Sleep Behaviour Disorder (RBD) involves detailed clinical phenotyping of the condition, investigation of its underlying mechanisms, and the development of biomarkers to predict the future development of Parkinson’s and other related conditions. Tom is a member of the Translational Neuroimaging Group, where he uses novel neuroimaging techniques to detect the early signs of neurodegeneration in RBD.
Tom is also collaborating with Dr Max Little to develop new diagnostic and screening tools for RBD using wearable technology.
