OPDC Investigator (Senior Research Fellow)
Dr Paul Dodson joined the Oxford Parkinson’s Disease Centre in 2011 as a Career Development Fellow. He works alongside Prof’s. Peter Magill and Paul Bolam at the MRC Brain Networks Dynamics Unit at the University of Oxford. with the broad aim of defining phenotype and dysfunction in new animal models of Parkinson's. Building on his existing expertise with in vitro electrophysiology, viral delivery and imaging, Paul uses in vivo single-unit recording and behavioural analyses to investigate how neurons within basal ganglia circuits function and how this is altered in the Parkinsonian brain.
